Career & Technical Education {CTE}
The Riverside High School Career & Technical Education Department trains students for careers in applied Engineering, Manufacturing & Design, Business Administration & Marketing, Communication Technologies & I.T., and Health & Human Services. These courses are academically rigorous and provide students with not only the fundamental skills that are required for post secondary admission but also the technical skills that will enable them to have successful careers in Washington's new, highly technical economy. Whether a student is going straight to work after high school, to a two- or four-year college, or trade school, students will learn responsible work ethic and skills to guide them to success in their future.
Riverside students can earn college credit for specific Career & Technical courses taken in high school that will transfer to certificate and degree programs. Students do not pay for high school Career & Technical courses so they save on college tuition and textbook costs. Students also save time by not having to repeat those courses when they enroll in college certificate or degree programs.
Riverside's Career and Technical Education department adheres to the state statute as well as district policies that prohibit discrimination against any individual on any basis. Our staff provides as many opportunities as needed for all students in a nondiscriminatory atmosphere.
