Capital Levy Updates

Last February, our community approved two levies by nearly 70%, including the 4-year (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022) Levy for Security, Facilities, and Technology Improvements. Here are some specific updates:

-Roofing: Rick Enzler has received two bids for a summer roofing project to begin in June.

-Security: We are currently acquiring estimates for enclosing the breezeway between RES and RMS.

-Study and Survey: We are working with Northwest Architectural Company (NAC) to complete our study and survey, a third-party independent audit of our facilities. The data gathered in the study will help us create our long-term facilities plan, as well as successfully complete our capital projects as part of our Levy for Security, Facilities, and Technology Improvements

-1:1 Technology: the Board of Directors approved the purchase of Chromebooks for incoming 7th, 8th, and 9th graders for the 2019-2020 school year. In addition, RES and CES will each receive one cart with 30 new Chromebooks, as well as one cart of 30 one-year old Chromebooks (passed on from this year's graduating seniors). Finally, our 6th graders will have access to four carts of 30 Chromebooks each. We are now fully 1:1 for grades 6-12.
