RSD Assurance (Device Insurance) Program
In order to protect the devices from damage, the School Board has approved an Assurance Program that works much like the insurance policy for your car. Using existing, proven programs from districts across Washington and Oregon, the IT Department created an Assurance Program based on a student’s Free/Reduced lunch status. For as little as $10 a year, a student can be covered from accidental damage to their computer device. The full Assurance program details can be read online at www.riversidesd.org.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Riverside IT Director, Eric Rux @ 464-8583.
Online Tool Review (for Staff)
We have a process and criteria to evaluate digital tools to ensure that we comply with State Law (RCW 28A.604). The Digital Tool Review process exists to offer guidance around the selection of digital tools that are safe to use with students and align with Riverside's strategic plan goals and foundations.
Before using a digital tool with students or families, please review the criteria and the list of reviewed tools. If it is not on the list, please submit the tool for review by the committee.
