School Meal Update for the 2026–2027 School Year
Changes to School Meal Pricing
Dear Team Riverside:
For the past four school years, Riverside School District has been able to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), a federally funded program.
Due to changes in our district’s eligibility, Riverside School District no longer qualifies to participate in CEP. However, thanks to Washington State House Bill 1248 (Provision 2), breakfast and lunch will continue to be provided at no cost for students attending:
Riverside Elementary School
Chattaroy Elementary School
Independent Scholar Program
Students attending Riverside Middle School and Riverside High School will be charged the following reduced meal prices for the 2026–2027 school year:

Breakfast |
$2.75 |

Free & Reduced-Price Meal Benefits
Families are still encouraged to complete a Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit (CNEEB) Application. Qualifying for free or reduced-price meal benefits may also help students and families receive additional educational and community benefits.
Applications are available throughout the school year, and families may apply at any time if their financial circumstances change.
If you have questions about school meals, meal accounts, or eligibility, please contact the Riverside School District Business Office at (509)464-8201.
Thank you for your continued support as we remain committed to providing nutritious, high-quality meals for all Riverside students.
